Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has introduced a short-term training program on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), scheduled to run from July 4 to July 22. Organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, this three-week course is designed for students and faculty with a background in mathematics.
The program will be held from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and will be available in both online and offline formats. There are 80 seats in total, with 30 reserved for offline participants and 50 for online participants. The seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The course covers five main modules:
1. Introduction to AI and Python Basics
2. Applied Data Science with Python
3. Machine Learning Algorithms
4. Deep Learning for Computer Vision using Keras and TensorFlow
5. Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing using Keras and TensorFlow
Lectures will be delivered by industry professionals and experienced faculty from JMI, as well as experts from IITs, NITs, IIITs, and international universities. The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of key AI and ML concepts and techniques.
The registration fee is INR 4,000 for JMI students and faculty, and INR 6,000 for non-JMI participants. The course includes lectures, practical sessions, resource materials, and evaluation through quizzes and assignments. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate from the university.
